The 3rd international DEB Symposium
will occur in Texel (The Netherlands) from 23 to 25 April 2013.
This symposium will be hosted and organized by NIOZ.
It will be preceded by a 8-days course on the fundamentals of DEB
theory.
The 2nd international Symposium on
Metabolic organisation occured from 13th to 15th April 2011 in
Lisbon (Portugal). This conference have been organised by Instituto Superior
Técnico (IST).
The 1st international Symposium on Metabolic
organisation occurred from 19th to 22nd April, 2009, in Brest (France). This conference
has been organized jointly by Ifremer, the Department of
Theoretical Biology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Universities
of Brest, Marseille and Lisbon (Instituto Superior Técnico),
the IRD, the INRA, the NIOZ, the IMARES Wageningen,
as all these research teams are involved in research on DEB theory.
About 82 participants from 13 different countries (Croatia, Denmark,
France, Finland, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway,
Sweden, United Kingdom, United States of America) participated to this
symposium.
The 8th and final AquaDEB meeting took place in Crozon in early December
2010 (from 30 Nov. til 3 Dec. 2010). Previous meetings were on 30-31 October 2006, on 25, 26 & 27 April 2007
in Nantes (France); on 17, 18 & 19 December 2007 in Rennes (France)
and on 21-23 May 2008, 28-29 October 2008, 5-6 November 2009 and 27-28
April 2010 in Nantes again.
Three PhD
graduations for a double French/Dutch doctoral degree occured in December
2007 (France) and in Januray 2008 (The Netherlands; more information on

in Amsterdam):
