Gulf of Lion, offshore western french coast of Mediterranean, is one of the main region of interest for "sedimantary processes" research project.

Seafloor mapping was clearly usefull. Resulting of the processing of Ifremer and SHOM data, the whole region of Gulf of Lion is now mapped and 4 maps are going to be published by Ifremer at scale 1/100000. They furnish seafloor image from french coast to abyssal plain, topographic data from IGN are combined to bathymetric data.
