Inversion results - 10m Inversion results - 1500m DETERMINATION OF CIRCULATION IN NORTH ATLANTIC BY InversioN OF ARGO FLOAT DATA. The finite difference inverse model developed at LPO - IFREMER ( France) by Mercier et al. (JPO, 1993) was run to estimate the circulation in the Gyroscope area using the ARGO float profiles collected during 2001-2003. For more information, see the poster presented at the ARGO workshop in Japan, Nov. 2003. After annual inversions for those three years, we try to estimate the seasonal variability thanks to seasonal inversions between winter 2002 and winter 2003. Here are the results of some diagnosis made at 100 meters (video animations) :
