Son parcours professionnel

Nikolaos is a meiofaunal specialist focusing on the taxonomy and ecology of free-living marine nematodes and a Senior Researcher at HCMR. He has been working in the Mediterranean for the past 15 years and has previously been involved in a number of national and EU funded projects (Deseas, Biodeep, Interpol, Adios, Meramed, Mater...).

He has an invested interest in the study of the functioning of the benthic ecosystem of the Mediterranean Sea. His main scientific interests include benthic response to organic falls, meiobenthic community structure, nematode biodiversity, deep-sea research and pollution monitoring of the marine environment.
