Son travail à bord

Hope to get new data on the hydrothermal vent community of the Logatchev field. Especially interested in looking at the community dynamics pattern (succession) since last visit in 1997. Also interested in describing vent communities at recently discovered Ashadze and Krasnov fields.

 

Son parcours professionnel

Present position Head of Laboratory of Ocean Benthic Fauna at the P.P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology (IORAS), Russian Academy of Sciences.

Works at IORAS since 1987 after finishing a postgraduate term at the Moscow State University. Graduated Moscow State University, Biological Faculty in 1982.

Spent in total 6 years working abroad, mainly in Germany and the UK. Participated on 18 ocean-going cruises and 13 dives on submersibles Mir, Alvin and Pisces.
Publications 110+.
