SELMATER is the data selection software developed in IFREMER/TMSI/IDM/ISIB (by M. Larour and  G.Maudire). This software is used for the selection and the extraction of the Vertical profiles and Time series data from the MATER CD-ROM :

	Data selection with several selection criteria : + Data type (Ctd, Xbt, Bottle,  Adcp, Current meter, Sediment trap, Thermistor string, Drifting float) + Geographical area + Cruise name, Cruise reference + Time/Period + Country + Ship + Parameters + Quality flags
	Data plotting for Vertical Profiles data : X/Y plots are available for the selected vertical profiles
	Data extraction with 3 output formats :

	MEDATLAS format
	Comma Separated  Values (to be easily used in a spreadsheet)
	Ocean Data View text format  (to be able to  import the selected data in the Ocean Data View Software)

The software can extract the observed data or interpolated data (to standard levels which are pre-defined or to user-defined standard levels).
