75 students - in natural and social sciences, the arts and maritime trades boarded the Marion Dufresne in the Indian Ocean for three weeks in July 2022. In the company of scientists, teachers, sailors and local cultural figures, they immersed themselves in Marine Science.
They left their homes on the islands and shores of the Indian Ocean, and sometimes more distant horizons, to sail the seas during several weeks. Students, scientists, teachers, and crew saw, discovered and touched so many things. The youngest among them now better understand what they learn in their schools and universities: the importance of ocean sciences, the major role of the ocean in the life of our planet and the necessity to preserve it.
